I took the weekend to form a coherent opinion on the racism happening in our country, a topic that has come to the forefront of all of our lives.
And now I understand: therein lies the problem.
I had to take the whole weekend and a half to have deep, long, hard, heart-to-heart conversations with my husband so that I could gather my own feelings and thoughts, in addition to researching, learning, observing, listening…
Because, I didn’t have an opinion yet.
I understand now.
I’ve been part of the problem, in a bigger way than I’ve ever understood.

I had no idea how ignorant and uninformed that statement was - I actually didn’t even know that I was consciously making that statement.
Now, I am with you, standing beside you, listening to you.
What do we need to do? How do we change this? Those of you who have been in this, what can we do?
I encourage and open the dialogue to begin. Please post any resources below to positively, encouragingly use the space below to share resources and perspectives you think would help those of us who do not understand - cannot understand - to begin to understand.
I believe each and every one of us can come to our own actions, decisions, and ways of helping that are most aligned for eac
