We align the start of the start of each season with an equinox or solstice, dates that vary relatively little from year to year, yet nature itself often sees things quite differently and likely hasn’t consulted a human calendar a day in its life.
As I touched on here in my last post, winter is gradually receding like a tide that will go out to sea not for mere hours, but for several months.
Yet on our ice slicked deck, snow carpeted backyard, and nights that continue to drop well below freezing, winter roars for a wee bit longer.
Be that as it may, we are officially into spring by the system we humans employ. As the new season got under way, an idea for a reoccurring post series for my blog (WitchcraftedLife.com) sprang to my mind.
Called “Magick, Crafty Makes, & Me”, this series will be published quarterly, right around the conclusion of one season and first act of the next.
It is a link roundup post in which I highlight and briefly discuss some of the interesting, informative, important, or just plain cool stories that I’ve encountered in recent months pertaining to witchery/magick/Paganism/similar, paper crafting and crafting in general, and other stories that resonate with me personally, but don’t necessarily fit into either of those spheres.
In addition, the “me” portion includes a bit about what’s been shaking in our lives (as in myself, Tony, and Annie 🐶) lately.
The inaugural post in this series is for Winter 2020, and it is now live on my site. Definitely check it out if any of these topics interest you.
I’ll be tucking away entries for the next edition all spring long, so you just never know if something you share online might make it into this fun quarterly post.
Online or off, what were some of the positive highlights of winter (or summer, if you’re south of the equator) for you? ❄️🤍❄️
