So. I have racked my brain on how to help from where I am.
I don't want to sit here, telling my grandchildren all I did was watch what was going on.
I want to actively help make this world better!
But I don't have a lot of money. I don't have a car. I have all these obstacles. But I will not let them count as an excuse.
After a bit of thinking and talking it over with my husband, I decided to do what I do best.
I have decided to make 3 separate pair of handknitted-to-size scrappy calf length pirate socks. (NOT THE ONES PICTURED! You would get your very own pair!!!)
100% of the proceeds will go to an organisation that posts bail for the protesters, when they get arrested.(@mnfreedomfund)
It will take me a week to knit one pair of socks. So please be patient. These will be knitted to your measurements, so I cannot start until I have them.
Usually these would go starting at $45 on my website.
I decided to make them for $35. That gives you a deal on my handmade socks and I can donate at least that much.
Please understand that $8 shipping (in the us, I can do worldwide shipping, but would have to calculate it with you in a dm) will go on top.
If you chose to get a pair: you will donate the money directly to @mnfreedomfund and send me a screenshot of the confirmation and send the shipping money to my PayPal. Easy peasy. If you redact pertinent information and don't mind, I can post the screenshot to my stories as well.
Please just comment here with socks please, or let me know in a dm that you would like to get a pair of socks.
If you know of any other organisations that need support please let me know. I can always make more socks. I have a few more lined up, but always good to have as much info as you can to share as well.
