D&G FW2008 Patchwork Pants. D&G, launched in 1994 was the younger, more flamboyant diffusion of the brand Dolce & Gabbana, mainly aimed at younger individuals. Unfortunately, it was discontinued in 2011 as the brand decides to put its focus on the main label, giving “more strength and energy” into their upcoming collections. For the 2008 collection, it consist of multiple patchwork garments made out of knit, leather and corduroy fabrics. Models on the runway were seen wearing these pieces style with tartan slacks or shirt. As random as it can get, but it serve as a reminder that it’s always between a function of the D&G collection to throw random elements against the wall and make them stick and this collection was no exception.
This pants feature patchwork throughout the front and back with multitude of different fabrics resulting in each being produced uniquely, making it a one of one. Constructed in four different fabrics, cotton, suede, wool and corduroy.
